Red Rock Corridor Station Area Planning Report Released for Public Review

The Red Rock Corridor Commission released the Station Area Planning Report for public review during their June 30, 2011 meeting.

The Report chronicles the results of an 18-month study that included extensive public participation and community outreach process to plan for the areas around proposed Red Rock Corridor station stops in St. Paul on Lower Afton Road, Newport, Cottage Grove and Hastings. The study looked at many aspects of the transit stations areas, including, environmental impacts, cost estimates and development opportunities around the stations where appropriate.

Over the summer months, each community along the corridor will have an opportunity to review the findings of the Report and approve their community’s station area plan.
