By 2020 cities along the Red Rock Corridor could look much different than they do today.

By the end of this decade, the whole concept of commuting between downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul and cities to the southeast as far as Red Wing could be radically changed. And major economic development could be going along for the ride.

Plans are gathering steam for the Red Rock Corridor commuter train line running along Hwy. 61 between Hastings and the Twin Cities. The line would run on existing train tracks and eventually could stretch to the Prairie Island Indian Community and Red Wing.Read more
