Washington County to Use Federal Money on Red Rock Corridor Study

The Washington County Regional Rail Authority will be using federal money to study the Red Rock transitway corridor.

The authority approved the agreement with the Metropolitan Council at Tuesday’s meeting.

The money will be used to update the 2007 Alternatives Analysis, which will advance the development of the corridor. The corridor is a proposed 30-mile transitway that would connect the Twin Cities’ southeastern suburbs to Minneapolis and St. Paul.
